Book Review: Whispers in the Reading Room

Whispers in the Reading Room is set right after the Chicago World's Fair. Lydia lives for her job at the library. Then a dark-eyed strangers comes in to the library. He is so quiet that he does not speak to anyone, but Lydia does know that he loves books.

When she needs help at the Hartman Hotel, he helps and she finds out he is Sebastian Marks and he owns a saloon and gambling club. When she visits it, tentatively, she becomes a murder suspect.

This book was hard to put down because of the excellent timing and character development. This is the third book in the Chicago World's Fair Mystery Series and now I cannot wait to read the previous two.

I was given this book by NetGalley and Zondervan in exchange for my honest review.
