This is a very good book. It includes biblical references along with people from today's time. There were times when I was a little afraid to go on but knew I just had to. Anyone who loves to read fictional Christian history will love this.

This is a wonderful tool to use to help a child learn what gratitude is, in a fun way. the boy in the story wanted an elephant but got a goldfish instead. This lead to feelings of hurt but his family encouraged him to make a gratitude car. Then each member of the family filled it with things they were grateful for. Even his grandparents and baby brother put ideas in. Seeing how gratitude worked in his family's life, the boy found his own source of gratitude.
I love this book and feel that every parent or grandparent could be helped by the ideas in it.
The illustrations are attention getting and filled with imagination.

Inventions of God (and Eva) is a great story. It tells about how God loves to invent and so does Eva.
Eva's inventions may not be quite equal to God's but God loves his inventions and so does Eva. Eva isn't afraid to try to improve her inventions again and again. She does not give up even if they are perfect.
I love the lessons to be learned in this book. Lessons of not being afraid to try again if something isn't perfect the first time. God is always near his inventions.

This is an interesting book which shows us how God wants us to be happy. Plus it shares how he would like us to accomplish this. Our happiness is important to God. He did not create us for unhappiness.
This book is broken into sections. The first section talks about the happy soul.
The second section talks about the secrets. These include: Focus on God; Resolved to follow God's Way; Attached to God's Word; Dependent on God's Provision; Confident in Who They Are; Surrendered to the King.
It is not always easy to remember about how our souls can be happy, especially in difficult times, however, this book is a good guideline.I recommend this book highly, especially if you are looking for encouragement.

This book, Brave, begins with a message to the parents along with names of books that may help the parents. Next is a note to the teenagers followed by the rules to how to read the book. The rules aren't difficult, just a reminder that it is your book and you can do what you may once to understand the book.
There are three sections in the book each with three chapters. The first is Understanding. This he
lps to understand anxiety, why you are feeling this way and help you may get from this book.
The next section is Help. This includes helping the body, mind and heart.
The third section is Hope. This talks about how to turn to God and how He can help overcome worry and anxiety.
Each section consists of stories, advice and a lot of space to write.
I think so much of this book that I am going to give this book to my granddaughter in a few year.

This book is a reminder that we should remember that miracles do happen. We just have to breakthrough the "miracle barrier."
I also believe in miracles and answered prayer. However, I do not necessarily agree that there is a barrier to get through.
The writing in this book is powerful and it could be helpful to others. I just have to disagree with the author's premise.
This is a book that is filled with doable challenges to place our faith in God and allow Him to help us with our fears. This well-written book shows us how to allow Him to give us power step-by-step.

I found this to be a nice reminder to any and all teachers who get burned out, discouraged, or just not sure what to do next.
I taught in a Christian school and this book was written from a Catholic teacher's perspective but really none of that matters. As teachers we can all learn lessons from the gospel to help us overcome hurdles.
I felt that all of the author's thoughts were relatable and give encouragement. I would highly recommend this to teachers, no matter what the time of year.
