A Melody for James by Hallee Bridgeman

Melody Mason and James Montgomery met at a time when their lives were in turmoil. Melody had just found out that the man she was going to marry was not what he seemed and James was recovering from his wife's death.
Both people were dealing with tragic events and it does not end here. The two of them do marry and find that through faith, and their love, they are able to make it through whatever is thrown their way.
This book hooked me from the beginning, and I did not want to put it down until I was done. It was so well-written and it showed how faith in God's love will always help.
I was given this book by the author and by  www.bookfun.org, in exchange for my honest review. Thank you!!

The Circle Girls: Once Upon a Witch by Anya Novikov

The first sentence of this book, "God will give you blood to drink," made me a little wary about reading this book. However, by the next paragraph Anya Novikov, drew me into the book. This was much like the main character of the book, Delli.
Delli Willis is a teen-age girl who begins having dreams which intersect her life at many points. In her dreams, set during the Salem Witch Trials, the main character has a name much like her own, as does a mysterious young man that she meets in the dream and in real life. Delli's dreams and how they reflect this troubling time, pulled me in and kept me intriqued until the very end.
Novikov did a wonderful job of raising the reader's interest and keeping them involved in the book. Even though this book was meant as a book for youth, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this book.
I received this book from the author and from funbook.org in exchange for my honest review.
