Book Review: I Believe in Heaven

For anyone that enjoys reading stories that are Heaven-based, I Believe in Heaven by Cecil Murphey and Twila Belk, is the book for them.
This book is broken down into two sections, with subsections in each, of stories.
Stories and Testimonies of Heaven has stories that touch the heart including one about a coma patient, and one that nearly died in surgery.
Next is Questions About Heaven where they answer questions about the Bible’s definition, what we will do and aftereffects of Near-death experiences.
Each section is so well-written that I did not necessarily want then to end.
Thank you for this book.

I received this book from the authors and bookfun.org in exchange for my fair and honest review.

The Lord's Voice Cries to the City...Micah 6:9 book review

The Lord's Voice Cries To The City....Micah 6:9 by Iris Nasreen is a book that shows how Nasreen was able to take visions and dreams, which God gave to her and embrace them.
God spoke to her through these times about the end of times and warnings. The first part of this book went into detail about these visions and dreams. Then the second part showed Bible passages that shows how mankind can be redeemed.
The details that she went into in the beginning of the book slowed down my reading time. But then toward the end, I was able to bring it all together to help me realize the message that Nasreen is meant to share.

Book review: Down from the Mountain by James MacKrell

Down from the Mountain by James MacKrell is such a well-written story. It tells about the love most masters feel for their dogs and the dogs for their masters.
Jenny is an Australian Shepherd who becomes separated from her master shortly before the time for her to give birth. It tells about the journey Jenny and her master, Javier, go through and the stories that unfold along the way.

Animal stories enthrall me, but this one went beyond this. MacKrell is a wonderful storyteller and I would recommend this book to everyone.

Total Turnaround by Danette Joy Crawford

Total Turnaround by Danette Joy Crawford shows the importance of turning our lives over to God….our entire lives. Throughout the book the author gives examples, from her own life, of areas that need to be examined and then released to God. After introducing the reader to the Total Turnaround, Crawford shows different areas to concentrate on: Prayer Life, Spiritual State, Mind-set, Emotions, Self-image, Marriage and Relationships; Teenager, Finances, Health, Perspective, Every Area.

After reading each chapter, there are a set of “Points to Ponder” and Scripture to mediate on. Each of these tools help the reader to search themselves to see how to actually turnaround the item and let God care for it.

This is a great book to read for self-examination, or for a group guide. Crawford was able to reflect on her life to demonstrate God’s love of our entire lives.

Dawn Singer by Janalyn Voight

Janalyn Voight took me on a wonderful adventure to a beautiful, exciting fantasy world. The reader is treated to a realm of emotions in this fairy world. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to this book in a way I have not in quite a while.

Voight has a fresh voice that takes the reader to a world of Renaissance times where fairies are near and there are conflicts between ruling families.

I would recommend that anyone who enjoy fantastical tales that take you to other worlds and time.

He Who Has An Ear by Laura J. Davis

He Who Has an Ear by Laura J. Davis is a wonderful handbook to studying the book of Revelation. This book has always been one that intimidated me but with Davis’ assistance it helps to clarify some of the things.
Within the book Davis talks about the seven angels. She talks about who they were when the book of Revelation was written and who they represent today. There is also discussion about the different church events in each of the churches.
By using this book as an evaluation tool of a person’s life it helps them to shake them out of complacency and to see where they are in relation to one of the churches.
This book is an excellent source for an individual or group study of the book of Revelation.

Your Guide to Living Life Out Loud by David Bell

Your Guide to Living Out Loud by David Bell is such an inspiration book. He begins his story by making friends with the readers of this book and then he leads the reader through his journey through cancer. Throughout the book there are guides to show the reader how wisdom can be taken from his journey and applied to their own.
Bell shows how changing the focus of his prayers allowed them to see God’s work in his life.
This was such a wonderful book. I felt like I was on his journey with him and I did not want to close the cover when I was finished.

Partly Cloudy with Scattered Worries by Kathy Collard Miller

Partly Cloudy with Scattered Worries by Kathy Collard Miller helps guide the reader through obstacles they may come across in their lives. She weaves letters from God, stories from real-life experiences, and discussion questions to help comprehend the contents of the chapter.
With this book on my reference shelf, I know that I, also, can overcome any scattered worries that come my way.

Irongate by Ronald Glanz

Irongate, by Ronald Glanz, consists of a new romance that is woven through an older one. This intriguing novel has many twists and turns, as Rich Greenlaw researches a possible romance between his grandfather and the heiress of Eastwick Mansion.
Glanz draws the reader in as he presents new pieces to the puzzle which is uncovered by Greenlaw throughout the book.
This is a well written book which is well researched.
