Children's book review: The Secret of the Blue Glass

There are some Little People that live on the shelves in the Moriyama family. They originated in England but a nanny brought them to Japan. In order to survive the Moriyama children fill the blue glass with milk. This responsibility is passed to each generation. Yuri inherits the responsibility about the time of WWII. This is a time of family division. She keeps the Little People safe while they try to help her. Soon rationing occurs and things may change.

I LOVED this book. I loved the Little People and Yuri and felt worry for her and her difficulties. Tomiko Inui did such a good job producing a book that is not only for children, but adults will love it also.

I was given this book by NetGalley and Pushkin Children Books in exchange for my honest review.
