Catherine McKenzie is the type of writer that pulls you into the story so that you feel like you a part it.There is a wildfire which is threatening homes. At the same time the characters' families are having relationship troubles. Both of these dangers reflect each other as the heat given off by both can be devastating. This is a book that any reader will have a hard time putting down or possibly remembering to breathe through. I loved it.
