Cookbook Review: The Deliciously Keto Cookbook by Molly Pearl; Kelly Roehl

I began to look into this way of life a few months ago. When I came across this book, I thought I would look at it and see if I truly can make this my lifestyle. Ketogenic is a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb diet. It can address many medical issues, while it helps a person lose or maintain a healthy weight. This type of diet helps the body focus on dietary fat, and ketones as the source of energy. It is more efficient for the body to burn fat this way.

In this book I found many recipes for each part of the day: breakfast, appetizers, snacks, main meal, desserts and sides. There are also included tips for cooking, and eating out.

As thrilled as I was with this book, I did find some of the recipes to contain more carbs than I prefer. But all together I did find many recipes that I feel will become a part of my regular routine.

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Healthy Meal Prep

This book is a help when it comes to preparing and cooking meals. It helps the reader to become more organized so they are not wasting valuable time in the kitchen. The plans give one breakfast and three main dishes to prepare for the week. This makes life so much easier. By planning ahead of time, the food can be frozen so throughout the week mealtimes can have variety.

Included is a step-by-step plan for prep day, including shortcuts. Each recipe includes nutritional information so goals can be met. Plus the book is broken into: Cut The Carbs, Meal Prep Favorites, Healthy Game Day and more.

I can see this book fitting into my life perfectly. I will be buying the hard copy of this so I can mark and remember things more easily.
