Book Review: The Woman in the Photograph

In 1929 Lee Miller, a model, decides to make a name for herself in Paris. She looks for Man Ray so she could become his assistant but become more than that. She becomes his muse, model and his lover.

Each time she models she gains confidence, so it is not unusual when she begins to work on her own items which leads to a role in a film. Ray becomes jealous and the story continues.

This story by Dana Gynther is captivating and beautifully written. At times, the reader can relate with each of the characters, even though they may not have anything in common. Gynther did such a good job with the characters and the setting. I will begin looking for more works by this talented author.

I was given this book by NetGalley and Gallery Books in exchange for my honest review.
