Book Review: Ivy in Ploom

This is a beautiful book to share with children. It begins with Ivy brought down by winter. She loves spring and all of the beautiful colors. She goes on a spring hunt in March, and was disappointed, all she sees is snow. However, in April the colors begin to appear.

Their are lines of poetry throughout and some of the lines are familiar. There is a list of the poems and their poets in the back of the book. The lines from the poems used are also highlighted.

Illustrations are simple but beautiful and enhance the text very well. I feel this would be a wonderful book to share with children to open their eyes to the beauty of poetry.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Vanita books in exchange for my honest review.
