Book Review: Wicked Charms

Lizzie Tucker and her partner Diesel have been given powers to help them find the Stone of Avarice. Lizzie, however, would just be happy to not have the power and to just be normal.

In the local museum the mummified remains of Collier "Peg Leg" Dazzle have been discovered along with the fact that he was murdered. At one time this bootlegger had a pirate's treasure and then he hid it somewhere in New England. Included in this treasure is the Stone of Avarice. As with any good pirate's treasure, this one has a treasure map which can only be read with de-coder coin, a Spanish coin that is in bits. Diesel and Lizzie have to find the 8 bits, and then decipher the map. They are not the only ones looking though. There is Wulf, Diesel's cousin, who seems to be greedy and desires the treasure and Lizzie.

This fast-action book will keep the reader on the edge of their seats to see what trouble awaits the treasure hunters. Along the way there are henchmen, monkeys, a man who thinks he is a dog and much more.

I loved this book and I thank NetGalley for letting me have it in exchange for my honest review. Thank you.
