Secrets of the Happy Soul

This is an interesting book which shows us how God wants us to be happy. Plus it shares how he would like us to accomplish this. Our happiness is important to God. He did not create us for unhappiness.

This book is broken into sections. The first section talks about the happy soul.

The second section talks about the secrets. These include: Focus on God; Resolved to follow God's Way; Attached to God's Word; Dependent on God's Provision; Confident in Who They Are; Surrendered to the King.

It is not always easy to remember about how our souls can be happy, especially in difficult times, however, this book is a good guideline.

I recommend this book highly, especially if you are looking for encouragement.
I received this book from Bethany House in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Book Review: My Garden of Prayer

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Just the name Helen Steiner Rice made this a book that I felt I needed to read. Her prayers are so faith-filled that I find a sense of peace once I begin one of them. They are filled encouragement and blessings.
I loved this book and I feel it would make a perfect gift for any occasion. Highly recommended

Book Review: Praying Through Hard Times

Praying Through Hard Times by Linda Evans Shephard is a book that is written for everyone. Each person, at some time in their life, will face difficulties. This book gives encouragement, through God's Word, which can guide and comfort each person. Shephard wrote a book that can be used as an individual study or as a group study guide.

As I have faced many difficulties throughout my life, looking back, this book would have been such a help and in the future it provides a secure feeling knowing that it is there to guide me through that time.

I was given this book through the publisher, author and bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review.
