Down from the Mountain by James MacKrell is such a
well-written story. It tells about the love most masters feel for their dogs
and the dogs for their masters.
Jenny is an Australian Shepherd who becomes separated from
her master shortly before the time for her to give birth. It tells about the
journey Jenny and her master, Javier, go through and the stories that unfold
along the way.
Animal stories enthrall me, but this one went beyond this.
MacKrell is a wonderful storyteller and I would recommend this book to
everyone.
