Book Review: This is the Day

I received this book from WaterBrook and Multnomah, as part of their launch team, in exchange for my honest review.
Tim Tebow is such an inspirational writer. In this book he shares how he is able to apply his faith to his life and then he gives challenges to show ways that we can do this too.
He shares how he feels the same we do at times. He can feel categorized, or put-down, just like us, but by staying true to God and the faith He has given us we can overcome and tackle these feelings and show how a Christian can excel with God. "This is the day" to begin.
I like the way he writes so it is easy to read yet challenging enough to make me think. The biblical references are now highlighted in my Bible and I have a feeling I will be referring to this book quite a bit in the future.
I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: King's Blood

King's Blood is the second installment of the Kinsman Chronicles. Jill Williamson, the author is so talented, she leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for each part of the series. I will let you know that it is a good idea to read the first book, The King's Folly first to really connect with the characters.

Wilek and Trevn, brothers, as well as their people are trying to survive on the seas, looking for a place to land. As they are doing this they are being attacked by those that are against the royal members.

This thick book is a book to get lost in. There is adventure, fantasy, romance, fighting. A little something for every adult. I would recommend that only adults read this. There are parts of it that, even though well-written, are for the more mature audience.

Overall, I fell like I can give this book all the starts there are. I loved it.

Book Review: Again by John Leatherman

Again, by John Leatherman, centers around Chance Trifle. He is given a possible gift, or a curse of living a day over again for a total of three times. The idea is to change the outcome of the day On the original day Chance was a witness of the murder of Prima, a pop star. The first repeat day he was able to prevent the murder, successfully. On the second day, the day that is remembered, he is not as successful.

This book has many characters that fit into the story, but they are not easily followed. Overall, this was a good book which helped me to reflect on each of my days to see how to live each to the fullest, not only for myself, but for those that surround me.
