Book Review: The Sisters of Versailles

The Sisters of Versailles by Sally ChristieThis book, set in the early 18th century, is written from the memories of one of the five Nesle girls. Each sister, except for Hortense, becomes involved in the live of King Louis XV. The approach of each girl and the results of the relationship affects each of them and changes things over the years.

Many of the chapters have letters written by the sisters at the end. If the writing itself did not draw the reader in, the letters makes them feel like they are a part of the story.

I was pulled into the world of the life at Court and into the lives of each of these girls. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series of three.

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you.
