Deep-Fried Revenge

This book is a part of a series however, having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the first page this cozy mystery pulled me in and kept me captivated until the end. It involves a restaurant family which allows for so many ideas Ms Cahoon weaves her magic into this setting so well.

The Lost Page

This is a very good book. It includes biblical references along with people from today's time. There were times when I was a little afraid to go on but knew I just had to.  Anyone who loves to read fictional Christian history will love this.

The Gratitude Car

 

This is a wonderful tool to use to help a child learn what gratitude is, in a fun way. the boy in the story wanted an elephant but got a goldfish instead. This lead to feelings of hurt but his family encouraged him to make a gratitude car. Then each member of the family filled it with things they were grateful for. Even his grandparents and baby brother put ideas in. Seeing how gratitude worked in his family's life, the boy found his own source of gratitude.

I love this book and feel that every parent or grandparent could be helped by the ideas in it. 

The illustrations are attention getting and filled with imagination.

Inventions of God (and Eva)

 

Inventions of God (and Eva) is a great story. It tells about how God loves to invent and so does Eva.

Eva's inventions may not be quite equal to God's but God loves his inventions and so does Eva. Eva isn't afraid to try to improve her inventions again and again. She does not give up even if they are perfect.

I love the lessons to be learned in this book. Lessons of not being afraid to try again if something isn't perfect the first time. God is always near his inventions.

The Rocky Road to Ruin

I loved this book by Meri Allen. I do enjoy cozy mysteries and this is up there with one of my favorites.

When you pick up this book to read a bowl of ice cream should be close at hand to help fit the atmosphere..

As for the mystery, there were enough surprising happenings to keep me enthralled. I was on my toes through the entire book. This is a fun series. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Murder at the Royal Botanic Gardens

 

A pending wedding, a healing plant and murder. They are perfect together. This is the first of these books that I have read and now I will be going back to read the others in this series. This book includes old friends and enemies..

In this book Wrexford and Charlotte are facing these good and bad plans together. There is a reuniting of Charlotte with her brother, who happens to have befriended the murdered man.

I love the twists and turns through this book and I was never lost by not reading the previous books. To top the whole book up Wrexford and Charlotte have their wedding at last.

I highly recommend this book to mystery readers as well as others.
