Book Review: What our Mamas Taught Us

What Our Mamas Taught Us is a little book filled with a lot of love. Linda Seger recorded, within two covers, sayings from the "mamas" in her life. Included in this is her own mama, grandmother and aunts.

The book is broken down into sections such as Adventure, Money, Problem and so on. It is a book of comfort for when you cannot hear your own mothers words of encouragement or advice. For a small book it packed a cartload of love.

Anyone who loves the words that others have shared with them throughout their lives would love this book.

Book Review: Moms' Night Out and other things I miss

Moms' Night Out by Kerri Pomarolli is filled with devotions that help mothers see life from another perspective. Each day begins with a Bible verse followed by her on insight on the verse and how Pomarolli has found it relevant to a time, either through her children or from other parts, of her life. After this she has two reflections that leaves the reader finding importance in different parts of their own lives. Finally each devotion ends with a wonderful prayer.

Kerri Pomarolli has placed so much of her self into each entry and has made it very do-able for the reader to find the relevance in the little things. I loved sharing entries with my friends and family and I look forward to other works by this author.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes to look at the lighter side of life or needs uplifting. Thank you Kerri Pomarolli and B& H Books.

Book review: Gummi Bears should not be organic

Gummi Bears Should Not Be Organic: And Other Opinions I Can't Back Up With FactsI love this book. I first requested this book from NetGalley because the title made me smile and the smile did not disappear throughout. The author is a blogger that finds ease in finding the humor in her everyday life raising three daughters.

It makes it easier to find the humor in a mother's everyday life. I was able to relate to the stories that she told as I caught myself laughing out loud every time I  picked this book up.
