Book Review: A Personal Scrapbook: My Little Prince
I was given this book by Dover Publishing in exchange for my honest review. This is a charming keepsake book for parents to keep track of some of the milestones their "Little Prince" achieves. This is a hardcover book with precious illustrations throughout. There is even envelopes and places to keep those little treasures that come along the way.
In the beginning of the book they also tell you how to download special content such as birth announcements, packing list, recipes and fairy tales.
The memories begin before the baby is born with thoughts by the parents about different events. They have a place to place newspaper clippings, a family tree, what and how baby eats, some of the things h e loves and doesn't like, physical traits and so, so much more. This will become a book that mom, dad and baby will look at throughout the "Little Prince's" life.
I highly recommend it.

Craft Book Review: Dumpling Pups
This is such cute craft book. For those who enjoy crocheting animals and dogs, this book is a winner. Each of the 20 pattern is designed for all crocheters. There are very clear pictures to go along with each of the patterns. Some of the breeds in this book include a dachshund, bulldog, Labrador retriever, Bernese Mountain dog and so many more. Each of the dogs has a short paragraph where the dog's profile is revealed. There are even patterns for accessories, like a bed, bowls, a dog bone and more. Each of these puppies would be cute to make as a collection or for small ones that love puppies. Each of their facial features are sewn on so there is no need to worry about loose eyes. I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: Modern Frames
This book is filled with picture frames to fit most needs. Each project gives a bright picture frame in use and then gives pictures and written, step-by-step direction to complete the project. One of the things that caught my eye was the first picture shoes what each of the items needed look like. So even the novice can pick up the supplies needed.
Some of the frames include a message board, hanging planter frame, jewelry organizer frame, a hanging garden frame and so many more.
I found this book to be inspirational and helping me to see that completing a picture frame does not have to be overwhelming.

Book Reviews: In honor of the Royal Marriage 3 reviews
In honor of the Royal Marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan, Dover sent me these three book to look and give my honest review.
Yarn Whirled
The book Yarn Whirled the Royal Family is filled with easy yarn crafts which require the used to wind yarn to make most of the members of the royal family. Inside the book there are pictures and patterns of each of the following:
Queen Elizabeth II on her Coronation Day
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinurgh
Queen Elizabeth on her 90th birthday
Diana, Princess of Wales
Prince Charles, Prince of Wales
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall
Princess Anne, Princess Royal
Prince Andrew, Duke of York
Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York
Princess Beatrice
Princess Eugenie
Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex
Sophie, Countess of Wessex
Lady Louise Windsor
James, Viscount Severn
Prince William Duke of Cambridge
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
Prince George
Princess Charlotte
Prince Henry of wales
Peter Phillips
Isla Phillips
Zara Phillips Tindall
Mia Tindall Yeoman Warder
Included are detailed instructions on how to make the figures and the materials that are needed. I can see the person who uses this book could have hours of fun and then have some beautiful creations to display or give as gifts.
I think that this would be a book that most crafters would enjoy
Harry and Meghan Paper Dolls
The Harry and Meghan Paper Dolls book is filled with fun and colorful outfits for Prince Harry and Meghan. It comes with a basic figure of the two, then for Meghan the outfits she wore to the Invictus Games, what she wore for the official announcement of their engagement, the interview outfit with the BBC, the World AIDS Day Charity Fair outfits, the official engagement photo outfit, her pre-Christmas luncheon with the Queen, Christmas
Harry's outfits include those that correspond with those which Meghan wore.
Each item is printed on sturdy paper and the figures include a stand-up base to help make dressing and displaying easier. Some of the items may not be easy for children to cut out, but with help from a grown-up they could enjoy them also.
This is a fun way to commemorate this special time
Harry and Meghan A Love Story Coloring Book
This book has pictures from the Royal romance. From the time they began dating through current times, the pictures express the love these two have for each other.
The pages are printed on perforated paper with the pictures printed on just one side. This way the artist can enjoy mounting their work, when finished without hiding the other side. The paper it is printed on would work with crayons, or makers. Plus the fact that they are printed only on one side, if the colors bleed through it will not harm another picture.
This would be appropriate for any followers of the Royal family or for those that enjoy coloring.
All in all, I feel these three book could give many hours of fun and creativity to anybody.

Book Review: Creating Celtic Knotwork
I enjoy Celtic knotwork, plus I am working on keeping a journal this year. So when I came across this book, I fell in love. The book begins with a basic grid page, to be copied, then continue on with the basics, such as a basic Celtic knot and how to modify it. They also give models of different knots such as the trefoil knot.
Some of the other sections in this book include borders and corners, crosses, spirals, maze and step patterns, zoomorphics, techniques and materials.
I found this book to be just right for me. I am not usually a very good pencil artist, but with this book in my hand, I believe that I can make a start at creating my own Celtic knotwork.

Book Review: Best Poems of the Bronte Sisters
I enjoy the works of the Bronte sisters and I am a poetry lover, so this title called my name. The Best Poems of the Bronte Sisters is published by Dover Publications. This collection contains work from each of the sisters and whereby their style is similar, their differences also speak out through their poems. Charlotte's poetry is based on her reflections of her sisters. Where Emily's are on the darker side of life.I feel this is a good collection of poetry which represents each of the sisters well. Those who enjoy poetry, especially that which is written in the 19th century should turn to this book. It will become a welcome addition as a collection of great poetry.
I was given this book by Dover Publishers and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Flower Fables
I have always enjoyed the writing of Louisa May Alcott. This book of short fables are as fun to read as any of her others. These would be fun to read to children, and the illustrations are just right for the stories. Children can learn valuable lessons from these stories and they can be jumping off points for discussions with parents. In my mind I can see a family sitting together reading these stories and enjoying every moments.

Children's book review: Jane's Blanket
Jane has a pink, warm blanket that has always been with her from the time she was a baby. When she played, it was there, when she went to sleep, it was there. However, Jane grew. And the blanket became smaller until there was only a piece of cloth left. This is the story of how Jane learned to let go of the blanket little-by-little.I related to this book as my daughter had a blanket that she loved from the time she was born. It was interesting to see how she adapted to it as it became worn.
This was a beautiful story written by the playwright, Arthur Miller.

Book Review: Baby Crochet Designs
As a grandmother of one and another on the way, I loved this book. I enjoy making things for my grandchildren and this book is filled with hat and booties that almost anyone can create. The cover is a good example of one of the 16 patterns included in the book. Even though each of the patterns suggest a specific yarn to be used, with a little experimentation others could be substituted.I have already made a few of the designs and look forward to trying them all. Thank you.
