Irongate, by Ronald Glanz, consists of a new romance that is woven through an older one. This intriguing novel has many twists and turns, as Rich Greenlaw researches a possible romance between his grandfather and the heiress of Eastwick Mansion.

Glanz draws the reader in as he presents new pieces to the puzzle which is uncovered by Greenlaw throughout the book.

This is a well written book which is well researched.

This is an excellent read for those that want to bring revival back to America.

A Starfish at a Time by Dana Wynn Steele

Dana Wynn Steele, and her husband, share their lives with others as they show that love is not bound by biology or by others. Through marriage and adoption they grew their family to 19.

If Dana were asked to foster a child, she did not look at physical or social difficulties. Instead she would turn to the Lord and see how she can help the child out. No matter what their background, Dana and her husband are able to make a positive difference in each of the children’s lives.

The title of the book, “A Starfish at a Time,” comes from the story of a child, by the seashore where there were hundreds of starfish, throwing one starfish at a time into the sea. When a passerby informed the boy that he would never be able to save all of the starfish, the boy told him that it made a difference to each one that he saved.

This story reflects the lives of this family. Each one will learn from the time together as a family that they can make a difference, one person at a time.

Each chapter is aimed at a different part of a prayer life, from “Praise and Thanksgiving,” “At the Right Time,” “Faith and Follow-Through” plus seven more” Each chapter is followed by instruction and examples on how to fill out a prayer journal, plus there are sample prayer journal pages in the back.

By using the journal each person is able to see how God works through their prayer petitions.

This is a wonderful book for those who are just beginning their prayer lives and as a reminder for those that may need to find a different manner of keeping a prayer journal.

A Marriage in Middlebury by Anita Higman

Charming book. Anita Higman created a beautiful romantic book in Marriage in Middlebury. Middlebury is a small town where everybody shares everything. Or they did. In this book we discover how ancestors of Charlotte, the owner of the local tea shop, kept her and her love apart. When her previous love comes back into town, with his fiancé, the reader discovers if this past, along with other secrets, are enough to keep them from falling in love again.

This beautiful story would make a good read for anyone that wants to fall in love with small town living and with love.
