Food Triggers

This book has come into my life at the perfect time. I am sure God placed this in my sight knowing what I am going through. I was on a sleeping aid for years which made me sleep-eat. I got off of this aid but the damage has been done. I like this book because she has gone through a weight issue and she combine advice, and stories with Bible verses. This is a very encouraging book.

I was given this book by Bethany House Publishing in exchange for my honest review. The opinions are my own.

The Yoga Lifestyle by Doron Hanoch

I enjoy yoga as a way to revitalize my body and mind. This book is a wonderful resource for yoga. It gives guidelines to help build success physically, spiritually and emotionally. While doing this it does not give impossible directions. Everything is in simplified format which can be fit into life easily by making as few or as many changes as is desired. I highly recommend this book

Book Review: Thinner in 30

Jenna Wolfe is a very inspirational health and wellness expert. In addition she is a certified personal trainer and a mom.

This book, Thinner in 30, is her lifestyle in written format. The diet seems straight forward as does the activities. It is full of tips, such as how to stop carbs after 5. I feel like this book is a good resource for those who are interested in better health and fitness.

Book Review: Good Morning, Yoga

This is a lovely book for a parent and child to share together. It is more than a story, it is also a way to introduce a child to the ways that yoga can help them to begin their day. I feel like this is a wonderful book to have on hand. The movements and the illustrations are both soothing and beautiful.

Book Review: Healthy and Free

Healthy and Free: A Journey to Wellness for Your Body, Soul, and Spirit This a good book to look at how good health is important not only for our body, but our soul and spirit. The author, Beni Johnson, shares her own tale about health and the journey she has taken. Johnson also reminds us that the body we have was given to us by God, so we should take care of it.

Through easy-to-follow steps the reader is able to see how to take control of their own health. The chapters, or Tools for Health, include: Hydration; sleep; exercise; eating clean; detoxing and supplements.

This book is an important book for everyone and I cannot recommend it any higher than I do.

Book Review: The quest for wellness

The Quest For Wellness: A Practical And Personal Wellness Plan For Optimum Health In Your Body, Mind, Emotions And SpiritThe Quest for Wellness is a good resource to keep on one's bookshelf or at hand on their bed side table. Each of the tips within this book are practical and they are not difficult to follow. The author is not just spouting words but he has put the words in action as he has followed them himself to build himself up physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. I feel like by following his advice, it will not hurt, but will definitely help me to become better, in just 90 minutes a day.

I know many that would be thankful to have this book and I would recommend it to any that would ask.

Total Turnaround by Danette Joy Crawford

Total Turnaround by Danette Joy Crawford shows the importance of turning our lives over to God….our entire lives. Throughout the book the author gives examples, from her own life, of areas that need to be examined and then released to God. After introducing the reader to the Total Turnaround, Crawford shows different areas to concentrate on: Prayer Life, Spiritual State, Mind-set, Emotions, Self-image, Marriage and Relationships; Teenager, Finances, Health, Perspective, Every Area.

After reading each chapter, there are a set of “Points to Ponder” and Scripture to mediate on. Each of these tools help the reader to search themselves to see how to actually turnaround the item and let God care for it.

This is a great book to read for self-examination, or for a group guide. Crawford was able to reflect on her life to demonstrate God’s love of our entire lives.
