Book Review: White Christmas by Tanya Stowe

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Tanya Stowe always write romance stories that reflect her values. They are clean and they are good. I always have so many Christmas books that I continue reading them after the holidays and when they are written like this one I don't mind at all. This is a well-written story that many will enjoy to read time and again.

Book Review: The Art of Unpacking Your Life

Connie invites her friends from college to a safari in the Kalahari. There were friends, but that was 20 years ago. Within a short time, they begin to enjoy each other, even though there is tension. Throughout the trip challenges occur which makes them see that even though time has passed there is still a link between them.
This book about friendship is written by a talented Shireen Jilla. It played on my emotions. At time I was cheering on the friendships, at other times I wanted to pull a character aside to let them know they should hang on to special people.
It was a very good book and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Book Review: The Thorn Keeper by Pepper D. Basham

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. The Thorn Keeper is the second book in the Penned in Time series by Pepper D. Basham. This book tells the story of Catherine Dougall and her new faith. She has a reputation of manipulation so others judgement of her has her feeling filled with self-doubt. Then she gets pregnant.
Dr. David Ross is a kind doctor but he also feels like Catherine should reap what she has sown. His life has been one of careful plans to help give him an upstanding reputation. He sees how Catherine has reformed and wants to give them a chance.
This book is filled with a lovely story of romance and redemption. Once I picked up this book, I did not want to put it down. I feel the author does a good job of showing faith without making the book preachy.
I think the characters are believable and the story is one that could be read again for the feeling the reader is left with.
I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: Between Sisters

Cathy Kelly is such a rich author and she shares her wealth of talent with each of us through her works.

In the book Between Sisters, the sisters are Cassie and Coco. Their mother left them when they were younger. Now that they are grown, they are still feeling the pain. They were left in the care of their grandmother, so they did know love but not the love of their own mother.

Cassie now has a family with two teenage daughters and Coco is single. Each are successful career-women.

There are problems that erupt into their lives and seeing their pathway to the resolution is very interesting and intriguing.

As with many of her other books, Between Sisters, is not a light book to read. It includes mistakes and real-life instances throughout it.

I love the bond that Cathy Kelly is able to include in this book between the sisters. I would highly recommend this book to Cathy Kelly lovers and to those who enjoy books with reality throughout it.
