Book Review: Angel in Aisle 3

I love when the unexpected happens, in a good way. This story, Angel in Aisle 3, by Kevin West, is just one of these stories.

Kevin West left his job as a bank vice president when he made some loans that he should not have. Before going to trial he decided to manage a small grocery in Ironton, Ohio. Kevin had never felt lower than he did now facing prison and have marriage difficulties. It was at this time that he called to God for help. God sent Don, an elderly vagrant.

Don, upon seeing Kevin's Bible on the counter, decided to share what the Bible had taught him. These insights helped Kevin immensely. This one time meeting changed into a friendship which was used to help them both.

Such a touching story, which teaches us to keep our eyes open to the most unexpected sources, as gifts from God

I am so glad and feel so blessed that Kevin shared his story.

This book was given to me by NetGalley and Howard Books in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Eve

When I first read The Shack I thought that it was the most powerful, meaningful book I would ever read. Wm. Paul Young did it again with Eve.

In this book a girl, lilly, is a sole survivor. A man, John the Collector, discovers her in a box, almost dead. John and Lilly each are known to talk with Eve from the Bible. In their conversations, they both discover the real story of the Garden of Eden.

By looking at each of us as the broken Lilly, it is insightful to see the message that can be received by reading this book.

I loved the characters and the path that Lilly travels.
