The story of Deborah, in the Bible, is a story that some pass over. I find it fascinating. In this book she is one of the characters in the book who are calling to God to help save the Israelite from the oppression of Sisera and Jabin.Deborah is called on to lead them but the story is about Israel and how they face worshiping of idols and other issues.
The author did research Deborah in the Bible and stayed true as far as the biblical story goes. I enjoyed this book as it helped me to see Deborah from a different angle.

Each one of these women, and more, had such an impact on our Christian world. They did with faith, forgiveness, strength and patience. Ruth A. Tucker tells each of their stories in Extraordinary Women of Christian History. Through this book, many discussions can be opened up between family members, friends or even in a small group. 
This book was set at the time of Jesus' crucifixion. However it is set on the outside of the events. Demetrios of Tiberias tells about the crowds that follow Jesus, His follows, the factions and the way of those that are not part of the inner circle of followers. By writing the book from this perspective the reader can feel like they are a realistic part of this time in history, without disturbing the events.
