Her Only Wish by Shelley Shepard Gray is an excellent book. It is the second in a series but I didn't know this until I finished the book. Betsy has a life list. This is a list of things she wants to complete while she is visiting her friend in Florida. She has on her list learn how to play golf and play one round of golf, and learn how to swim.
This simple list caught on and enriched lives of other. Some of the people in influences is the friend of the man who gives her golf lessons, and the woman and sister who give her swimming lessons.
Betsy is Amish and she has always been protected by her parents so these things would not have happened back in her home in Kentucky.
The story that was told around these events was touching and heart-lifting. I loved this book.
I was given this book by Revel and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is a wonderful book that encircles a group of Amish. It shares the hardships, questions, love, and the knitting that surrounds the people in the town of Smicksburg. Granny sets up a knitting circle of 5 very different individuals. One has low self-esteem, one cannot have a baby, one has eight children and is dealing with medical issues, one has questions of a past love and one wishing she could escape her marriage.
This is the third book in The Amish of Summer Grove series. This book finds Ariana back in the world she loves. The world of the Old Order Amish. She spent month in the English world but finds she this world feels like a better fit. Now she has to take what was learned in both worlds and see if she can mesh them. She is not my herself in figuring this all out, Quill Schlaback, a long-time friend who is an ex-Amish, wants to help her. This is difficult when changes in Ariana are plain.
I love this Christian Devotional. I grew up in a town with Old Orders around us and I love the lifestyle and the faith of these people. Each of these entries show Darla Weavers love for the Lord and all of his creations. There are also entries about her life in general including her children, friends and family. Each devotions has a reading, prayer and journal prompts. There are even ways to actively respond do the devotions.
Beverly Lewis has such a talent for writing stories based on the Amish. In this story an Amish girl shows some interest in life away from the community.
This book, Twice Blessed, consists of two novellas about family. The stories may have been better for me if I had not read another Amish book right before. Unfortunately, because of this I found my mind wandering while I was reading these stories. When that happens I feel like both the author and myself are to blame.
The Postcard is the second book in The Amish of Jamesport. Normally I would not request a second book in a series unless I have read previous books. The story line in this fascinated me so I thought that I would try it. It did not disappoint me.
